A one-month cycle of helicopter crews training for night flying was completed on 17 November 2011 on the runway of the multi-role helicopter squadron from the 91^st Air Force Base in Lucko.
Crews have been trained on Mi-171Sh helicopters and completed the basic training and training to maintain existing level of readiness with equipment for night flying - NVG (Night Vision Goggles).

By this training helicopter pilots are trained to perform the most complex tactical tasks at night, specifically landing on unprepared and unlit terrain or for the use of Mi-171Sh helicopter as combat platforms in a broad spectrum of military operations, and also for the emergency medical transportation and search and rescue tasks.
