Military Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania, Colonel Raimondas Matulaitis paid an inaugural visit to the Ministry of Defence, on Wednesday, 26 October 2011. Colonel Matulaitis was received by the Director of  Defence Policy Directorate, Dragan Lozancic, who on that occasion, with congratulations on his appointment as a military attache, said that bilateral defence relations between the two countries were at a high level, and expressed the wish that the cooperation in the areas of interest of both countries would continue. Colonel Matulaitis particularly stressed the cooperation of the air forces of the two countries, which has been implemented through the training of Lithuanian helicopter's crews in mountainous areas.
