16th HRVCON in ISAF mission
The main force of the 16 HRVCON, a total of 304 members of the Croatian was sent on Sunday, September 5, in the ISAF in Afghanistan. Members of the 16th HRVCON will be assigned to the Regional Command North in Mazar-e Sharif and the Regional Command in Kabul where they will assume the duties of the previous Croatian contingent.
Also part of the 16th contingent in the ISAF mission will be sent to the Police Operational Mentoring Liaison Teams, as mentors in the military police school and logistic school in Kabul, as well as one air force mentoring team.
As part of the police operation mentoring liaison teams (POMLT) together with the members of the Croatian Armed Forces, 4 police officers of the Ministry of Interior were sent as well.
Commander of the 16 HRVCON is Navy Captain Marileo Stanicic.
