Minister Kotromanović received Deputy Chief of UK Mission to Croatia
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović received today, on Thursday, 19 January 2012, in the inaugural visit Christopher Hodge, Deputy Chief and First Secretary of the Mission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Colonel Philip Osment – British military attaché to Croatia.
Deputy Chief of the Mission Hodge congratulated Minister Kotromanovic on his appointment, emphasizing good defence cooperation between the two countries. Good cooperation in the field of defence was also particularly emphasized by the UK military attaché to Croatia Colonel Osment, who underlined the high professionalism of the Croatian Armed Forces. On that occasion, it was announced the upcoming visit of the Royal Navy Commander to the Republic of Croatia.
Minister Kotromanović thanked for the congratulations, and said he hoped that the good cooperation between the two countries would open up further opportunities for expanding the cooperation in the defence, but also on the economic plan. Minister Kotromanović briefed the British delegation on the activities of the administrative reform of the Ministry of Defence that have been in progress and the pace of adoption of the new strategic documents in the field of defence.
