Croatian President and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Ivo Josipovic and Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovic visited on Sunday, 1 January 2012, the Operational Command Centre of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
President Josipovic and Minister Kotromanovic were welcomed in the CAF Operational Center by Deputy Minister Visnja Tafra, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Drago Lovric and Commander of the Operational Command Centre Brigadier General Vlado Sindler with his associates.

During the visit the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic talked via video link with members of the Armed Forces participating in international peacekeeping operations and missions in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Syria. They informed the President about the current situation on the ground.

President and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Ivo Josipovic congratulated the Croatian soldiers a Happy New 2012 Year. Minister of Defence Ante Kotromanovic and Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Drago Lovric also joined the congratulations.
