Based on the today's request of the National Protection and Rescue Directorate, Defence Minister Branko Vukelic issued a decision to send CAF Task Force (CAF TF) to help in the area affected by floods in Slavonia.
At this point, 200 members of the Croatian Armed Forces - soldiers, engineering platoon, with the necessary machinery, equipment and boats, and signal, logistics and medical units were sent to the area of Oriovac. Six other CAF TF is in full alert, which at this point makes a total of 1500 CAF members ready or already deployed in the area.
The Task force was made up of members of the Armoured Mechanized Guard Brigade from Vinkovci (3 TF), then the Engineering Regiment of the Croatian Army from Karlovac (2 TF), and members of the Guard Motorised Brigade from Knin and Petrinja (2 TF).

Further engagement of members of armed forces on the ground will depend on the assessment of the National Protection and Rescue Directorate.
