State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Pjer Simunovic, delivered today, 25 August 2011, on behalf of the President Ivo Josipovic, the Order of Croatian Trefoil to ex Polish Military Attaché, Colonel Krzysztof Kaliszewski for outstanding contribution to the development of bilateral relations between Croatian and Polish defence ministries. The award ceremony was also attended by the Polish Ambassador to Croatia Wieslaw Tarka.

Air Force of the CAF Fire-fighting Taks Force (CAF FF TF) participate today, 12 August 2011, in fire fighting in neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Following several years of performing on the celebration of Victory and Homeland Gratitude Day, the Day of the Croatian veterans and "Storm Operation", pilots of "Wings of Storm" acrobatic group of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence visited on 12 August 2011 the town of Knin, where they were welcomed by Mayor Josipa Rimac.

A two-week "Croatian Pride 11/2"military exercise, in which participate members of the 18^th CAF contingent that will be deployed in early September in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, began at a military training area "Eugen Kvaternik" near Slunj.

The selection flights of candidates who have been studying for military pilots completed today, August 11, in the fighter squadron of the 93^rd Airbase in "Zemunik" barracks.

Representatives of the 91^st Squadron of transport aircraft of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, led by Major Drazen Ivandic paid a working visit from 8 to 10 August 2011 to 46^th Squadron of transport aircraft of the Italian Air Force, located in Pisa, as part of the activity "Expert talks of transport aircraft crews – hauling of people and resources on short and long distances".
