A pre-deployment training for members of the CAF National Support Element (NEP) and the garrison operational and mentoring teams (G OMLT), a component of 19^th Croatian contingent in the ISAF peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan, was conducted in the Centre for Logistics Training and Doctrine in Pozega from 7 November to 16 December 2011.

Students of the Senior non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic Slovenia visited Croatian Military Academy (HVU) "Petar Zrinski" on Wednesday, 14 December 2011. The aim of the visit was to familiarize with the Military Academy, and with its organization and training programs with emphasis on senior NCO education.

In the Training centre for international military operations in Rakitje, from 12 to 16 December 2011, the Basics of Peace Support Operations Course (PSO) was conducted for the first time, with the participants from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Economy and Ministry of Finance - Customs Administration .

The celebration of the 20^th anniversary of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence took place in the 91^st Air Force Base on Pleso, December 12.

Upon the 20^th anniversary of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, on Thursday, December 8, and Friday, December 9, open days were held at air bases of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.

Croatian delegation led by the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Pjer Simunovic participated on 8 and 9 December 2011, in Durres, Albania, at a ministerial meeting of the US-Adriatic Charter member states.
