The Croatian Air Force and Air Defence was among the participants of the “Sinj Air Show 2016“ in the local airport (Piket) on 20 August 2016.

Major Ivan Krizman presented a programme on the  ZLIN 242-L DEMO aircraft, and Major Marin Klarin performed a brief eye-catching flight to displayed the fight capabilities of the  BELL-206 B helicopter.

The attention winners were the “Wings of Storm“ Aerobatic Display Team, who performed a full sequence, announcing their upcoming appearance in Zeltweg, Austria in early September. The visitors had the opportunity to see the exhibited BELL-206 B helicopter, the cockpit and the flight simulator of the MiG-21 aircraft, and to seek information related to the pilot education programme, the university study programmes of the Croatian Defence Academy and the voluntary military training.

On return to their home base at Zemunik, the “Wings of Storm“ performed their traditional manoeuvre - the “Salute to Zadar“ over the Uskok sailing club in Zadar to congratulate to the gold Olympic sailing medalists and reserve specialists of the Croatian Armed Forces, Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić. “This time we performed it in honour to the gold olympic medalists from Zadar and to join the homecoming ceremony“, said the Team Leader, Lieutenant Colonel.
