The aircraft maintenance teams and support personnel of the Task Firefighter Forces of the 93 Base of the Croatian Armed Forces based in the Barracks “Pukovnik Mirko Vukušić" at Zemunik August 2017 serviced the firefighter aircraft overnight from 21 to 22 August 2017 to enable them to continue the much needed assistance.

Along with rinsing the  Canadairs CL-415 of sea salt and replenishing with fuel, the maintenance technicians devoted most time to post-flight inspections, periodic 50-hour inspections and checks and other necessary interventions to enable the air forces take off for missions as necessary in the morning.

The extraordinary effort and contribution of the air maintenance technicians have ensured a high degree of airworthiness of the air forces fighting the fires, for which they received the appreciation from the Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević during his visit to the firefighter air forces
