Christmas concert of Symphonic Wind Orchestra of CAF

The traditional Christmas Concert of the Croatian Armed Forces Symphonic Wind Orchestra was held in the "Vatroslav Lisinski" Concert Hall on 20 December 2018, and was attended by the President of the Republic Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović,as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević, by the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces General Mirko Šundov and many senior officials of the Ministry of Defence and of the Croatian Armed Forces.

The Orchestra was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Miroslav Vukovojac-Dugan, and the guest performers were Barbara Suhodolčan, Adalbert Turner Juci,  Radovan Cavallin and the Mariachi "Los Caballeros" band, the  Šibenik Singing Society “Kolo" and the Choir "Izvor".

The Orchestra performed the traditional Christmas songs  rearranged by various authors, among whom the former  conductor of the Orchestra, late Miljenko Prohaska, as well as modern and newly arranged pieces.

Particularly well-received was a composition played by  the  Jazz Band of the Croaitan Armed Forces, conducted by Major Davor Dropuljić, joined by the members of the Feminem vocal band and  the soloist Renata Sabljak and others.

The revenue from the ticket sales will go to for the Military Solidarity Foundation.
