Minister Krstičević and Chief of GS visit 1st HRVCON in Lithuania

The Croatian Deputy Prime  Minister and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević  the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, general Mirko Šundov and the Lithuanian Defnce Minister  Raimundas Karoblis on  29 December 2017 visited the Croatian and Lithuanian soldiers engaged in NATO's  eFP mission and stationed in the barracks "Rukla".

The Croatian Minister and Chief of the General Staff commended the living and working conditions provided for the Croatian soldiers. They also brought them new training kits.

Minister Krstičević stressed:"I am proud of the Croatian soldiers, the members of the "Tigar" Battalion who are doing an excellent job of representing our country in Lithuania, at joint  training with the members of NATO forces exchanging valuable experiences and upgrading interoperability".


The Commander of the 1stHRVCON to eFP, Captain Marko Krpan said the Croatian Contingent was well equipped and accomodated in Lithuania.
The Battlegroup Commander, Lt. Col.  Thorsten Gensler praised the co-operation with the Croatian soldiers, the members of the legendary  guards brigade. 

The members of the Croatian contingent in Lithuania performed successfully the preliminary  shooting individual weapons, prior to crew shooting from Patria vehicles scheduled in early 2018.

The members of the OSRH have been deployed in the Germany-led Battlegroup  since early December nning of December, and the commander of the first Croatian contingent in Lithuania is Captain Marko Krpan.

The Croatian Contingent to NATO's enhanced Forward Presence  consists of a 187-member  (10 females) mechanised company  equipped with 15 Patria vehicles and is commanded by Captain Marko Krpan.
