The majority of the exhibits are aerial photos depicting the local scenery and people.\u00a0\u00a0 <br \/>Stipe Bo\u017ei\u0107 (the famous Croatian alpinist), underlined that the author offered a unique bird-eye view of Afghanistan and the life of its people. Despite our perception, the local people are happy,\u00a0 which Velimir Be\u0161i\u0107 noticed right during his deployment in Afghanistan and captured the beauty and the diversity of the country.<br \/>First Sergeant Be\u0161i\u0107 said not many soldiers deployed to Afghanistan arrived without prejudice and returned full of pleasant and lasting\u00a0 impressions. <br \/>Afghanistan is a country full of contrasts, where you come across doorless mud huts and villas with swimming pools. But I never encountered jealousyamong the people, who lived their own lives instead. That was very inspiring for me and I took the opportunity to record\u00a0 a number of spots and people, telling a story about Afghanistan, the country which inevitably conquers you and finds a place in your heart\u201c, said 1SG Be\u0161i\u0107. <br \/>First Sergeant Be\u0161i\u0107 has practiced photography for over 20 years, and the largest part of his photos are from birds. He has already presented his photos in a number of exhibitions as member of the Split Photo Club, namely \u201dDatinski koluri \u201din Dubrovnik 2011, \u201cVinkovci Photo Exhibition\u201c in Vinkovci, 2013 . He won the second award of the jury at the Photo Contest of UNDP Croatia and the first award in the landscape photo category at the Split Photo Club Exhibition\u00a0 in 2013.
