{"id":113291,"date":"2019-10-16T14:51:03","date_gmt":"2019-10-16T12:51:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/?p=113291"},"modified":"2020-12-10T10:54:52","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T09:54:52","slug":"started-a-course-organized-by-the-mod-and-the-united-kingdom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/started-a-course-organized-by-the-mod-and-the-united-kingdom\/","title":{"rendered":"Managing Defence in a Wider Security Context Course started at The Croatian Defence Academy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Defence Academy \u201cDr. Franjo Tu\u0111man\u201d in Zagreb on 14 October 2019 hosted an opening ceremony to a Course titled \u201cManaging Defence in a Wider Security Context\u201c, co-organised by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia and the Office of Defence Attach\u00e9 of the United Kingdom to Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>The Course is a result of the good bilateral co-operation between Croatia and the United Kingdom, and is attended by the staff of the Ministry of Defence, members of the Croatian Armed Forces, one member of the Ministry of the Interior and ten foreign attendees.<\/p>\n<p>The opening ceremony was attended by the Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Petar Mihatov and the Ambassador of the UK to Croatia, H. E. We also have to continue developing the situational awareness and understanding the processes in our environment as well as the Political and Military Estimate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn effective Common Foreign and Security Policy is indispensable for the development of the required EU defence capabilities, but we also have to maintain compatibility and complementarity with NATO\u201c, said AM Mihatov.<\/p>\n<p>The UK Ambassador emphasised that intensification and deepening of defence co-operation has been a priority during his office in Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is still a lot of work ahead of us, but we have already done much in a short period, particularly with the joint training activities\u201d, said Ambassador Dalgleish.<\/p>\n<p>The Course comprises the first introductory week, dedicated to security and overall managing in the defence domain, and the second week which is focussed on specific defence domains \u2013 management of capabilities and of procurement (i. e. portfolio management, capability requirements, risk management etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the Course is to study the strategic level of security and defence, with the aim on maintaining professional capabilities in the host countries and in the neighbouring countries.<\/p>\n[ngg src=&#8221;galleries&#8221; ids=&#8221;3721&#8243; display=&#8221;basic_thumbnail&#8221; thumbnail_crop=&#8221;0&#8243;]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Defence Academy hosts the Course \u201cManaging Defence in a Wider Security Context\u201c, co-organised by the Ministry of Defence and of the UK <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4693,"featured_media":113272,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[117],"tags":[4301],"class_list":["post-113291","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-press-releases","tag-managing-defence-in-a-wider-security-context"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
