It was the second meeting of the defence policy directors during the Croatian chairmanship of the Charter.
The U.S-Adriatic Charter constitutes a partner regional initiative established in 2003, whose main goal is to enhance the bilateral and multilateral relations between the members towards a full integration of the countries of SE Europe.
The defence policy directors discussed the possibilities to extend and intensify the co-operation between the Charter members concerning the implementation of the conclusions from the Warsaw\u00a0 Summit and underlined the importance of joint contribution to the international security and joint effort in capability building. <\/p>\n

The meeting was also attended by the President of the Mesihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia, Mufti Aziz ef. Hasanovi\u0107, who introduced the participants with the Croatian model of co-operation with the Islamic community, which has been recognised by NATO as a positive co-operation model in response to the current security challenges, particulary with the view on radicalism.
