{"id":12076,"date":"2017-03-20T14:26:04","date_gmt":"2017-03-20T13:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/minister-krsticevic-visits-ploce-and-sinj\/"},"modified":"2017-10-08T18:39:41","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T16:39:41","slug":"minister-krsticevic-visits-ploce-and-sinj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/minister-krsticevic-visits-ploce-and-sinj\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 visits Plo\u010de and Sinj"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After paying respects to the fallen members of the Croatian Navy in the Barracks \u201cNeretva\u201c, the Minister visited the barracks \u201cNeretva&#8221;, &#8220;Sidri\u0161te&#8221;, the depot compound\u00a0 &#8220;Tatinje&#8221;, and attended the presentation in the Naval Detachment South by the Commander of the Croatian Navy, Rear admiral Predrag Stipanovi\u0107\u00a0 on the condition of military property in the area.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Since 2005 the Croatian Ministry of Defence has transferred ten military installations (the surface of ca 450,000m2) to the Central State Administrative Office for State Property Management , but decided to retain and invest in three facilities, improving the situation in a large and strategically important area from Split to the Cape O\u0161tro at the tip of the Prevlaka Peninsula. <br \/>Opening his address with the importance of restoring dignity to Croatian military personnel and the permanent need to guard the memory of the Croatian defenders , the Minister stated that the Ministry of Defence was oriented on working in the common interest shared with the local communities and the commitments assumed by the Croatian Government to create conditions for a prosperous country. <br \/>\u00a0<br \/>&#8220;Security and the development of a locality are complementary matters and need to be combined. The town of Plo\u010de is a strategic point and we need to maintain our operational forces here. I expect a unit will be stationed next year, it will also\u00a0 open many workposts and support the economic development of the area. The investment and equipment of the designated military property area is a priority\u201c, said the Minister.\u00a0 <br \/>The Chief of the General Staff commended the Croatian Navy&#8217;s efforts to maintain the military property and underlined the importance of the Barracks \u201cNeretva\u201c in the building of new capabilities of the Navy and of reserve units of the Croatian Armed Forces, which is also useful to firefighter forces and the police. <br \/>During the visit to Plo\u010de Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 met with the Prefect of the Dubrovnik \u2013Neretva County Nikola Dobroslavi\u0107 and the Mayor of Plo\u010de Kre\u0161imir Veji\u0107.
