{"id":257442,"date":"2025-07-22T13:57:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T11:57:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/?p=257442"},"modified":"2025-12-02T09:24:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T08:24:41","slug":"military-parade-in-zagreb-to-honour-operation-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/military-parade-in-zagreb-to-honour-operation-storm\/","title":{"rendered":"Military parade in Zagreb to honour Operation Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To commemorate Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, Croatian Veterans Day, and the 30th anniversary of the joint military and police operation &#8220;Storm&#8221;, the capital of Croatia will become a centre of national pride and unity.<\/p>\n<p>A ceremonial military parade will be held on Thursday, 31 July 2025, along Ulica grada Vukovara in Zagreb, stretching from Avenija Marina Dr\u017ei\u0107a to Savska ulica, commencing at 5:00 p.m. The event will provide citizens with a unique opportunity to witness the operational readiness, capabilities, and discipline of the Croatian Armed Forces first-hand.<\/p>\n<p>The parade will include over 3,400 participants in more than 20 formations, featuring personnel from the Croatian Armed Forces, the Ministry of the Interior, the Civil Protection Directorate, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, the Judicial Police, the Croatian Firefighting Association, Croatian war veterans, historical military units, and members of allied armed forces.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to marching formations, the parade will feature motorised and mechanised units comprising over 500 combat and support vehicles. A spectacular aerial display will take place over Zagreb, showcasing more than 40 aircraft from the Croatian Air Force and the Ministry of the Interior \u2013 including helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and the state-of-the-art Rafale multirole combat aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>A live broadcast of the Croatian Navy\u2019s ceremonial sail-past will be displayed on large video screens, adding a powerful visual element to the parade and showcasing the Navy\u2019s vessels, capabilities, and role within Croatia\u2019s defence system.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the parade, the public will also have the opportunity to see newly introduced weapons systems and modern military equipment \u2014 including the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle, the Leopard main battle tank, and small combat drones \u2014 showcasing Croatia\u2019s technological progress and continued investment in strengthening its defence capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also feature a rich cultural and artistic programme to complement the ceremonial proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>We invite all citizens to join us in supporting the Croatian Armed Forces and to take part in this landmark occasion that honours strength, professionalism, and national unity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The parade will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the joint military and police operation &#8220;Storm&#8221;, observed alongside Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Croatian Veterans Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":257415,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[129],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-257442","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-announcements"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
