{"id":5961,"date":"2011-02-18T15:43:33","date_gmt":"2011-02-18T14:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/meeting-of-directors-for-defence-policy-of-the-us-adriatic-charter\/"},"modified":"2011-02-18T15:43:33","modified_gmt":"2011-02-18T14:43:33","slug":"meeting-of-directors-for-defence-policy-of-the-us-adriatic-charter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/meeting-of-directors-for-defence-policy-of-the-us-adriatic-charter\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting of directors for defence policy of the US-Adriatic Charter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> The meeting was held in the context of examining the possibilities and options of joint contributions to NATO Training Mission &#8211; NTM-A in the ISAF operation and to identify specific national ambitions and willingness to participate in joint projects. <\/p>\n<p> The previous such meeting was held in late 2010, in Sarajevo, where they discussed opportunities, resources and capabilities that would be available for joint contributions of countries members of the US-Adriatic Charter for ISAF operation and for training activities of Afghan security forces, and national decision-making processes in the signatory countries in support of such engagements. <br \/> During today&#8217;s meeting, the representatives introduced their national plans of engagement of their mentoring and training forces, primarily in connection with the contribution to the Military Police School in Kabul, which leadership and command was took over by the Republic of Croatia. Military Police School is one of a dozen current service and specialist training institutions in Afghanistan, organized as part of NATO training mission in Afghanistan with the aim of direct support to training of Afghan security forces. <br \/> During the talks, representatives of the US-Adriatic Charter countries have expressed their strong commitment to the allied efforts in Afghanistan and to building sustainable Afghan institutions, and in this context, underlined their readiness to participate in further activities that support the implementation of joint involvement in ISAF operation in Afghanistan. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meeting of directors for defence policy of the signatory countries of the US-Adriatic Charter was held in the Ministry of Defence today, 18 February 2011.
