During the visit of General Lovri\u0107 to ACT, military representatives met him with the current initiatives and processes in the Command, which plays a key role in transforming NATO into an even more efficient and effective Alliance, ready to respond to future challenges. They also exchanged views on recently held Summit in Chicago, while the main topics of the meeting with the ACT Commander General Stephan Abrial was the progress of the integration process of the Croatian Armed Forces into NATO. They also discussed the preparations for the forthcoming Strategic Military Partner Conference which would be held on 19 and 20 June 2012 in Zagreb and will bring together CHODs of NATO member states, PfP, Mediterranean Dialogue, Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and the Partners Across the Globe Initiative.<\/p>\n

During talks with general Abrial the satisfaction with the progress that the Croatian Armed Forces have achieved over a three year period of full NATO membership has been stressed and the achieved intensity of mutual cooperation between the MOD and the Armed Forces with NATO structures.<\/p>\n

Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Lovri\u0107 also met with Maj. Gen. Jon Lilland, ACT Assistant Chief of Staff for management plans and programs, which confirmed that the process of integration of the Croatian Armed Forces in the military structure of the Alliance was in its final phase with the visible results in achieving the goals of integration and transformation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
