Brigadier General Ivan Juri\u0107, was dismissed as the Commander of the “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Training and Doctrine\u00a0 Command and appointed as Commander of the Operational Command Center of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, while Colonel Bla\u017e Beretin was dismissed as the Commander of the Air Defence Regiment and appointed as Commander of the “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Training and Doctrine Command, based on the Decision of the President and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, at the proposal of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Drago Lovri\u0107 and with the approval of Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovi\u0107. Brigadier General Ivan Juri\u0107 performed the duty of the Commander of Training and Doctrine Command since 2007, and Colonel Bla\u017e Beretin was Commander of the Air Defence Regiment also since 2007.<\/p>\n
The handover ceremony was attended by the Army Commander Major General Dragutin Repinc, Commander of the Guards Armored Mechanized Brigade Colonel Sini\u0161a Jurkovi\u0107, Training and Doctrine commanders and other high guests.<\/p>\n
Major General Dragutin Repinc congratulated both of them and wished them a successful execution of new duties, as they were successful in all previous. The General also pointed out some of the major activities of the Training and Doctrine Command, since 2007 when Brigadier General Juri\u0107 was appointed as commander, like the completion of the process of establishing the Command, the implementation of international military exercises ADRIATIC AURORA, GUARDEX, IMMEDIATE RESPONSE, SEESIM, JACKAL STONE, as well as military exercises of the Armed Forces UDAR AND HRVATSKI PONOS. He also mentioned the implementation of basic military training through a program of voluntary military service, specialist military training in service units of the Training and Doctrine Command, and the creation of doctrinal publications in accordance with the NATO standards underpinning the process of planning, implementation and evaluation of training as the most important activities of the Armed Forces in peace. “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Training and Doctrine Command was the driving force of the Army in developing and evaluating force capabilities in international military operations, and in charge of preparations of forces for the ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
