{"id":7364,"date":"2013-07-19T13:10:57","date_gmt":"2013-07-19T11:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/night-time-flying-training-completed\/"},"modified":"2017-10-08T18:33:35","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T16:33:35","slug":"night-time-flying-training-completed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/night-time-flying-training-completed\/","title":{"rendered":"Night-time flying training completed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The training has been a follow-up of the training of new pilots of\u00a0 the Firefighting Squadron for night-time flying missions on the two types of aircraft and is to be followed by the most challenging segment, which is landing on water surfaces and mastering water scooping and waterbomb dropping techniques at simulated fire spots, and eventually by actual aerial firefighting tasks.\u00a0 <br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Upon graduation from the training with the Canadair CL-415 aircrafts the trainees are qualified as co-pilots, whereas those undergoing the training on Air Tractor AT 802 F are prepared to\u00a0 perform aerial firefighting assignments autonomously.<\/p>\n<p>Following the night-time flying training, the Commander of the Firefighting Squadron, Maj. Davor Turkovi\u0107 highlighted its importance for the pilots of the Squadron, as during the firefighting season they are often called in to extinguish fires at sunset and return to the Zemunik Base at night-time. Maj. Turkovi\u0107 also reminded that during the previous firefighting seasons the aircraft took off before dawn to reach in time the fire spots opened during the night.
