Four OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters were engaged in two two independent and co-ordinated teams, with the Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) co-ordinating the operation with the land forces.<\/p>\n
According to the scenario the exercise commenced with the JTAC guiding the attack by helicopters against the target (according to the established procedures), followed by an attack by the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior teams, which engaged the targets with plunging fire. <\/p>\n
During the attack the Kiowa crews fired with the 12.7×99-mm M3P guns. Following the successful completion of the live firing the crews evaluated the target precision, prior to returning to the home barracks (“Pukovnik Mirko Vuku\u0161i\u0107” at Zemunik).<\/p>\n
