{"id":95711,"date":"2019-03-12T13:07:23","date_gmt":"2019-03-12T12:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/?p=95711"},"modified":"2019-08-02T10:32:55","modified_gmt":"2019-08-02T08:32:55","slug":"minister-krsticevic-meets-with-defence-minister-of-albania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.morh.hr\/en\/minister-krsticevic-meets-with-defence-minister-of-albania\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 meets with Defence Minister of Albania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minister&nbsp; Krsti\u010devi\u0107 and Minister Xha\u00e7ka discussed the current security threats in southeast Europe and affirmed the traditionally good bilateral relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Albania, based on the years-long friendship and partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Discussing the co-operation of the two navies Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 briefed Minister Xha\u00e7ka on the Naval Studies administered in Split, a joint project of the Croatian Defence Academy&nbsp; &#8220;Dr. Franjo Tu\u0111man&#8221; and the University of Split.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am pleased that we have today signed the&nbsp; Memorandum of Understanding in Defence Co-operation, as an incentive and basis for further&nbsp; development of our co-operation&#8221; said the Minister. The Minister reminded that Croatia and Albania were marking the 10th anniversary of NATO membership, which has contributed to the stability and security of the two countries and of the overall region .\u201cI want to thank Albania for confrming its participation in the international military exercise &#8220;Immediate Response 19&#8243; , organised by the Republic of Croatia to mark the anniversary of NATO membership&#8221;, said the Minister.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 pledged continued support of the Republic of Croatia to rhe Republic of Albania towards&nbsp; the EU membership and sharing of its experiences from the pre-accession negotiations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ministar Krsti\u010devi\u0107 s ministricom obrane Albanije Xha\u00e7kom\" width=\"868\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UsvQ8IGH9PA?wmode=transparent&amp;rel=0&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Having praised the bilateral co-operation to date Minister Krsti\u010devi\u0107 underlined the high potential for enhanced co-operation of the defence industries of the two countries. The Minister emphasised that Croatia developed a respectable defence industry and that the Croatian soldiers were equipped wth Croatia-made weapons and gear which has been tested in missions and operations.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Xha\u00e7ka affirmed the excellent bilateral&nbsp; relations and emphasised that Croatia&#8217;s and Albania&#8217;s membership in NATO was a guarantor of their safety.
