10th CAF UNDOF Contingent readiness evaluation

Field part readiness assessment of the 10th CAF Contingent, which will be sent to the UNDOF peacekeeping mission on the Golan Heights (UNDOF HRVCON 10) started today, September 19, at a military training area “Bralovac” near Knin.

The Army evaluation team under the supervision of General Staff evaluators does assessment by NATO CREVAL system. In Fields evaluation was preceded by In Barracks part, which was conducted on September 18. The evaluation procedure ends on September 21 by analysis and final evaluation.

During the evaluation, members of the 10th Contingent demonstrate the operational tactics and procedures to address all possible situations and incidents that may occur in the UNDOF mission area. The organizer of the evaluation exercise is the Engineer Battalion of the Guards Motorized Brigade, which is in charge of preparations, equipping and sending the 10th Contingent to UNDOF. Exercise Director is Lieutenant Colonel Alen Ković.

Pre-deployment training was conducted from 20 August to 14 September. Contingent, commanded by Major Mile Vukičević, has 93 members from all three services of the Croatian Armed Forces and the Support Command. Most come from the Guards Motorized Brigade. It is expected that the 10th contingent to be sent to the mission in late November this year.
