10th Smart Defence AAT PTC Cycle in “Zemunik”

The 10th joint Croatian, Hungarian and Czech Air Advisory Team Pre-deployment Training Course (AAT PTC) commenced in the “Zemunik“ Barracks on 26 May 2015.

The first part of the training was conducted in the Czech helicopter training centre in Ostrava, and entailed training on the Mi-171 Simulator, to be followed by the flight training on the Croatian Mi-171 Sh and the Czech Mi-24 helicopters in Zemunik, and by the waist gunners firing in the helicopter gun range at Crvena zemlja near Knin.  
The 10th AAT PTC is commanded by a Croatian pilot – Major Andreas Duvnjak, and the Croatian activity co-ordinator is Major Boris Panić.
The multinational helicopter crew training was incepted in 2012, with the mission to train the members of the Afghanistan Air Force during ISAF, and was continued through advisory support in the peace support mision Resolute Support.
The Course was co-designed by the Croatian and the Czech teams, with the advisory support from the SOCEUR, and has been registered as a NATO’s Smart Defence project.
