17th HRVCON KFOR visits the Zagreb Mosque
Preparing for their forthcoming deployment to Kosovo the members of the 17th HRVCON KFOR, composed mostly of the members of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, visited the Zagreb Mosque on 16 October 2014.
They were welcomed by the imam, Mirza ef. Mešić, who delivered a lecture on the Kosovo tradition and Islam as the religion observed by the domicile population.
The Contingent Commander, Major Stjepan Stepić extended the appreciation to the imam for the interesting lecture on behalf of the Contingent members, and highlighted the importance and the benefit of the visits to the Centre and the Mosque for the servicemen deployed in dominantly Islamic countries.
The visit also included the Memorial Park to Croatian Shahids and the Mosque prayer hall.
