18th Anniversary of “Maslenica” military-police operation

The commemoration of the 18th anniversary of “Maslenica” military-police operation started today, January 21, by laying of wreaths and lighting candles in front of the Central Cross on the City Cemetery in Zadar.

MOD delegation led by the Croatian Armed Forces Deputy Chief of General Staff Admiral Zdenka Simicic also laid wreaths. In MOD delegation were also the Commander of the Croatian Navy Rear Admiral Ante Urlic and Commander of Guards Motorized Brigade Brigadier General Mladen Fuzul. The ceremony of laying wreaths and lighting candles were also attended by delegations of the Parliament, the Ministry of Interior, local authorities, association from the Homeland war, and family members of deceased veterans.
Program marking the 18th anniversary of “Maslenica” military-police operation will continue until 23 January on several locations in the Zadar County, and will include several commemorative, cultural and sporting events.
