21st anniversary of the Croatian Navy celebrated in Split
Upon the Croatian Navy Day and 21st anniversary of the Navy, on 17 September 2012 the delegation of the Croatian Navy, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Navy Captain Predrag Stipanović, paid tribute to their fallen colleagues by lighting candles in the memory room of the Navy Command, by laying wreaths and lighting candles in front of the memorial to the fallen Croatian soldiers in the Homeland War, and at the grave of the first Navy Commander, Admiral Sveto Letica Barba at the Lovrinac Cemetery in Split. A tribute to Admiral Vid Stipetić Navy delegation paid at the Doli Cemetery on the Brač island.
In the exhibition hall of the Croatian Armed Forces Club in Split the exhibition “Man, soul, rock and sea” – model of historic ships of Milijo Šantić and replica of stone churches, towers and houses of Joško Radić was opened. The exhibition was opened by Chief of Staff of the Navy Captain Predrag Stipanović.
The exhibition “Man, soul, rock and sea” will be open to visitors till 21 September every day from 08:00 to 13:00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 hours. Admission is free.
