3rd HRVCON to Resolute Support takes pre-deployment training
The pre-deployment training of the staff and key personnel of the 3rd HRVCON TO Resolute Support commenced in the IMOTC (in the “Vitez Damir Martić” Barracks) in Rakitje near Zagreb on 11 May 2015.
A supplementary three-day seminar on the current situation in Afghanistan was included into the training curriculum for the Contingent. It will be administered by the staff of the Center for Civil-Military Relations of the US Naval Postgraduate School from Monterey, California. The trainees of the Croatian Armed Forces are joined by themembers of the Army of Montenegro, membes of the Armed Forces of Latvia and Slovenia and of the Croatian Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
The introductory classes were attended by the Director of the General Staff, Rear admiral Robert Hranj, Colonel Ivica Matanović of the General Staff’s Operations Directorate, and the IMOTC Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ivica Plejić.
