8th contingent returned from UNDOF mission
The last, fourth group of the 8th contingent of the Croatian Armed Forces today in the evening, 12 June 2012, returned to Croatia from the UNDOF peacekeeping mission on the Golan Heights.
They were welcomed at Zagreb Pleso airport by a delegation of the General Staff and Army led by Commander of Command Operations Centre Brigadier General Vlado Šindler.
In a brief address, General Šindler congratulated the members of the contingent on a successful mission and a worthy representation of Croatia and its Armed Forces.
The eighth contingent, whose commander was Major Ivica Brajković, was sent to UNDOF on 24 November 2011. It has been composed of 93 members of the Armed Forces, mostly from members of the Guards Motorized Brigade.
