Acrobatic group “Wings of Storm” in Austria
Acrobatic group of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, “Wings of Storm” participated on the 1 and 2 July 2011 in Zeltweg (Austria) on aviation event held as part of the celebration of 100th anniversary of the military air force in Austria, which was attended by six military acrobatic groups from 21 Air Force.
Live performance of “Wings of Storm” has seen over 300 000 spectators, and Croatian pilots were congratulated on their performance by the Governor of Styria Franz Voves, commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Austria, Gunter Hofler and Commander of Air Force Component of the Austrian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Karl Gruber .
Within the event, members of “Wings of Storm” visited the aviation museum at the Zeltweg air base with the MiG-21 displayed by which pilot of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Rudolf Peresin performed a historic flight from the former JNA to Klagenfurt airport.
“Wings of Storm” will also participate this year on the aerospace event in Poland.
