Agreement signed with Aeronautical Technical Centre

In the premises of Aeronautical Technical Centre d.d. (ZTC) in Velika Gorica, Minister of Defence Branko Vukelic today, May 7, signed two agreements arranging mutual rights and obligations in the business cooperation between the MOD and ZTC, and obligations relating to taking over the employees.

Agreement on business cooperation was co-signed by the Chairman of the ZTC Board  Zdravko Delic. The agreement was designed in accordance with the services that were designated by the Government Decision from the 23rd of April 2009 on the foundation of the Aeronautical Technical Centre d.d. and by registration of these services in the Register of the Commercial Court in Zagreb. The Company, which is wholly owned by the state, was established for doing business of special importance for Croatia, which includes maintenance, renovation, and repair of aircraft and aviation-technical material resources. Share capital is 280 105 000 kunas. The company will primarily do business with MOD and other government agencies.
In addition to Minister Vukelic and ZTC CEO Delic, the agreement was also co-signed by the president of the Independent Union of Employees in Aviation Marijan Luketic. In accordance with the Agreement, ZTC will take over civil servants from the former Aeronautical Technical Institute (ZTZ). Active military personnel from the Aeronautical Technical Institute will be transferred to the CAF. For vivil servants and employees who will be transferred to ZTC, the civil service in the Ministry of Defence will end and they will sign a contract with ZTC. Civil servants and employees who will not sign a contract with ZTC will be put on disposal. During this period, they can be deployed to any CAF organizational unit. Otherwise, by the expiration date of their disposal the civil service will end for them with a right on severance payment.
In a statement to the media Defence Minister Vukelic stated that ZTC has a perspective not only for providing services to Croatian Armed Forces and MOD, but also for other users, even those outside Croatia.
Speaking about the agreement, Vukelic noted that the ZTC would provide services for MOD and Armed Forces at least for five years. The scope of work and the amount of funds that the MOD will provide shall be set by annual contracts.
ZTC Chairman of the Board Zdravko Delic announced that ZTC would in within 45 days start to fully function as a company. By the end of the year ZTC should acquire civilian authorities and certificates to perform its activities, and to find the way for new markets.
Chairman of the Independent Union of Employees in Aviation Marijan Luketic expressed the satisfaction with the fact that, according to the Agreement, it was guaranteed that in the next two years, none of the former Aeronautical Technical Institute employees will be left without a job. Also, he stressed that he believed that employees would justify the trust and that the MOD and CAF will be satisfied with the results that ZTC would show.
