Ambassador Hrastić visits 19th HRVCON in ISAF
As part of the official visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Ambassador to this country with its headquarters in Turkey, Dražen Hrastić visited last weekend the 19th Croatian contingent in ISAF.
Commander of the 19th HRVCON Colonel Galić introduced the Ambassador with the current tasks of the contingent, who on that occasion stressed the high professionalism of all of the members of the Croatian Armed Forces and their dedication in performing responsible tasks in the ISAF.
Ambassador Dražen Hrastić stressed that the Croatian soldier in Afghanistan was the brand which we all were proud of. He wished all the members of the contingent a lot of success in carrying out their duties.
During the visit Ambassador Hrastić accompanied by Colonel Galić, visited the School of Military Police of the Afghan National Army, where Croatia is the leading nation. This is a successful project of regional cooperation, where in addition to Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia and the United States have been also participating. The Commander of the MP School Colonel Željko Akrap introduced Ambassador Hrastić with the school activities.
Ambassador Hrastić expressed his satisfaction with the work of the Croatian and partners mentors in the school, stressing that Croatian engagement in the ISAF was highly valued.
