Annual analysis of military-diplomatic representatives work

The annual analysis of work of military representatives, delegates and advisers of the Republic of Croatia abroad, attended by Minister of Defence Branko Vukelic, MOD State Secretary Pjer Simunovic and Chief of General Staff General Josip Lucic, began in the Croatian Ministry of Defence on Monday, March 1.

In his address, Minister of Defence Branko Vukelic thanked the military representatives, delegates and advisers for their contribution to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the countries in which they are accredited. He reminded on the membership in NATO and on the main activities of the Alliance aimed at achieving full integration, compatibility and interoperability. “NATO Membership, the system of collective defence, put our national security in a completely new level in which we confirmed as a reliable ally”, Minister Vukelic said. The Minister also talked about the participation of CAF members in international peacekeeping operations and missions, filling positions in NATO structures, participation in the defence cooperation, preparation for full integration of Croatia in the European Union, making a series of new strategic documents, and about achieving our strategic goals.

On behalf of the Croatian Armed Forces, Chief of General Staff General Josip Lucic recalled on the establishment of peacetime  restructuring of the armed forces, and the shift from individual to collective defence system. He also commented on the accomplishments of military representatives, delegates and advisers of the Republic of Croatia, stressing that their contribution was distinctive in the creation of Croatian international relations in the world.
