Anti-terrorist military police in action with colleagues from Slovenia and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia
Training at the interstate, interdepartmental and interbranch level ended with an attractive exercise in which CAiF’s helicopter also participated.
Today, on 15 May 2025, at the Split “Admiral of the Fleet Sveto Letica – Barba” barracks a multi-day cycle of joint training of members of the Anti-Terrorist Military Police Company of the CAF Military Police Regiment, the Special Unit of the Military Police of the Slovenian Army, and the Special and Intervention Police Unit of the Split-Dalmatia Police Directorate was completed.
The final part of the training focused on a scenario exercise that involved infiltrating a facility and apprehending barricaded and armed suspects.

During the exercise, part of the mixed teams of members of the Croatian Armed Forces, the Slovenian Army and the Ministry of the Interior were deployed to the intervention area by Croatian Air Force Mi-171Sh helicopter, so that the exercise, in addition to being interstate and interdepartmental, also had an interbranch character.
Through effective action, adherence to all legal and professional procedures, and a high level of interoperability of mixed teams, the tasks of the exercise were successfully completed.
Among the observers of the exercise were Commander of the Anti-Terrorist Military Police, Major Tomislav Katalenić, and Director of the Split-Dalmatia Police Directorate, Marko Srdarević, as well as other members of the Military Police Regiment, the Ministry of the Interior and the Slovenian Army.
Major Katalenić emphasized that everything that members of the three organizational units demonstrated during the exercise was the result of good training and continuous work at the unit level. “The mixed teams functioned as if they had been together for months,” Major Katalenić commented.
Assistant Commander of the Special and Intervention Police Unit of the Split-Dalmatia Police Directorate, Danijel Bradarić, said that the key goal in cooperation between different units from different countries is the exchange of experiences in planning, operations and the use of equipment. “This exchange enabled us to jointly find the best tactics for the situation that was resolved during the exercise,” concluded member of the Ministry of the Interior.
The Military Police Regiment and the Anti-Terrorist Military Police have a rich tradition of cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Slovenian Army, and a similar training cycle with the same participants was conducted in Split in March 2023.
