Assistant Minister Lozančić attended SEDM initiative meeting
Assistant Minister of Defence for Defence Policy Dragan Lozančić participated on the South-East Defence Ministerial, on Wednesday, 3 October 2012 in Sarajevo.
Heads of national delegations presented their visions of the future of SEDM and its initiatives, and signed the Joint Statement.
The meeting focused on the work of the Coordination and Steering Committee of the SEDM initiative, the activities of the MPFSEE / SEEBRIG (Multinational Peace Force South-East Europe Brigade), and proposals to locate its Headquarters in Bulgaria or Turkey.
National delegations were also presented with the findings of the strategic initiatives and SEDM projects and the annual plans of work, training, exercises and SEEBRIG budget in 2013 were approved.
It was decided at the meeting that the SEDM initiative should have new projects, reaffirming political support and coordination of activities and the rationalization of regional organizations, forums and initiatives in the field of defence and security.
