Austrian squadron landed in Zemunik

Austrian Air Force Squadron with seven Pilatus PC-7 arrived today, October 23, in the two-day working visit to the Fighter Squadron (EA) of the 93rd Air Force Base in Zemunik Barracks. The visit was from the pilot’s schools in Zeltweg with which Airbase from Zemunik has been working and developing relationships for many years.

The Austrian Squadron was welcomed by Major Nenad Hasnek, Acting Commander of the Fighter Squadron and a member of the “Wings of the Storm” aerobatic team.

In addition to talks and lectures on the organization and implementation of training and flight training of pilots, guests from Austria will be presented the organization of the flight and the structure of the Croatian Fighter Squadron and its use in the operational tasks of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence. Together with the Austrian pilots, several Austrian cadets have been visiting Zemunik who will have a unique experience of flying over the sea, mountain and lowland areas on one national territory.
