Bilateral defence consultations with Slovenia

The Assistant Defence Minister for Defence Policy, Zoran Drča and the General Director of the Defence Policy Directorate of the Slovenian Ministry of Defence held bilateral defence consultations in Ljubljana on 7 October 2014.

The meeting agenda included the prospects of the regional co-operation at the Southeast and Central European level, with an emphasis on the forthcoming Comprehensive Regional Ministerial to be held in Montenegro. The delegations shared the view on the need for rationalised and project-oriented regional defence initiatives. They also discussed further plans for the implementation of the Conclusions of the NATO Summit in Wales and the current regional security.
Furthermore, the two sides exchanged the updates on the current and future contributions to international security (mainly through peacetime missions and operations deployments) and praised the expanding bilateral defence co-operation between Croatia and Slovenia and agreed on the priorities of the co-operation in 2015 and further.
