Bozinovic met CEO of Patria Group

On the sidelines of the IDEX Fair, which has been held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 20 to 23 February 2011, Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic met the Chairman and CEO of Patria Group Heikki Allonen.
During the meeting both sides expressed the readiness for participating of Djuro Djakovic Special Vehicles Inc. and Finnish Patria on the markets of other countries, in Southeast Europe and in the Near and Middle East.
Minister Bozinovic stressed the need for faster adoption of a joint Memorandum of Understanding between the Croatian and Finnish manufacturer of armoured vehicles in order to create the formal preconditions for joint export, which was supported by the Patria, and the working groups from the two countries would immediately start with preparing the Memorandum.
Due to security events in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East, it was agreed the principle position of a separate approach for each market by assessing the political and security situation in the countries wherefrom come potential buyers.
They also discussed the possibilities for mutual business cooperation in the implementation of contracts and products delivery of Croatian manufacturers through the Patria brokerage in terms of implementation of the agreed offset.
