Bozinovic met Slovenian Ambassador Volk
Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic received on Monday, March 21, in his inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Croatia, Vojko Volk.
During the meeting they discussed previous successful bilateral defence cooperation. Satisfaction with the joint efforts in the Military Police School in Kabul in Afghanistan was particular expressed, where in the training of Afghan security forces would participate Croatian and Slovenian mentors, and mentors from other countries in the region. “This shared commitment provides the key capabilities for training and support to Afghan security forces, but also has regional significance in the context of promoting regional defence cooperation”, Minister Bozinovic said. In the context of accession to Euro-Atlantic integrations, they also highlighted the importance of Croatian accession to the EU for security and stability in the region, as well as the role of Croatia in the exchange of experiences with countries that have demonstrated a clear intention to join the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
Ambassador Volk in that sense expressed the support of Slovenia for as soon as possible completion of negotiations and the Croatian accession to the EU, and a willingness to help in exchanging experiences on this path.
