CAF continue with relief efforts in Slavonia
A total of 172 members of the Croatian Armed Forces (the Croatian Army and the Support Command) remain engaged in relief efforts in the flood-stricken in Slavonia
rehabilitating the land and reconstructing the Centre for Children with Special Needs “Zvjezdice” at Gunja (disinfected on 10 July).
The NBC Battalion continues decontaminating persons and assets at the «ZIB» decontamination post at Rajevo Selo and “Velebit” at Gunja.
The soldiers continue fortifying the Sava bank and applying protective coating on the «Bejli» bridge at Račinovci. Two motor vehicles remain at the disposal of the Red Cross.
The Signal Regiment maintains the communication systems, and the Military Police conducts activities in its area of responsibility.
The Support Command operates three mobile field kitchens from two locations: Drenovci and Otok, maintains vehicle refuelling and distributes drinking water as necessary.
