CAF FF TF Helicopter participated in the training of fire-fighters

Mi-8 MTV1 helicopter of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, from the composition of the Fire-fighting Task Force of the Croatian Armed Forces (CAF FF TF), participated on 1 June 2012 in the activities of training of members of the State Intervention Unit (DIP) from Split and Dubrovnik, and the fire brigades of Dubrovnik-Neretva County in Ploče, Dubrovnik and Korčula.

CAF helicopter from the composition of the CAF FF TF, along with instructors from the DIP Split and Dubrovnik, trained the fire brigades from JVP Ploče, JVP Metković, DVD Slivno, DVD Kula Norinska, DVD Opuzen, JVP Konavle, JVP Dubrovačko primorje, JVP Dubrovnik, DVD Vela Luka, DVD Blato, DVD Korčula and DVD Lumbarda for the use of helicopters in forest fire-fighting activities and for other types of intervention on difficult terrain. Fifty fire-fighters were training landing from helicopter using Fast Rope technique, and all actions necessary to carry out for transportation of fire-fighting equipment on the fire site.

Joint training of members of the CAF FF TF, DIP and fire brigades have been continuously and systematically implemented under the Programme of Activities of the Croatian Government in the implementation of special fire-fighting protection measures of interest for the Republic of Croatia in 2012.
