CAF helicopter participated in the rescue of infant
CAF helicopter by an emergency medical flight transported an infant on Thursday, 16 June 2011, in the afternoon from the Split Clinical Hospital to Dubrava Hospital heliport, and was taken to the Rebro Clinical Hospital.
Thanks to rapid intervention of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Forces, a one-month baby in time was transported for treatment in hospital in Zagreb.
Also, the same helicopter transported a woman from Hvar to Split Clinical Hospital.
Emergency medical transports by helicopters of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence of the sick and injured persons to medical institutions, as well as emergency medical transport of organs for transplantations are performed at the request of institutions across the 112 Centre of the National Protection and Rescue Directorate. The time between getting the call till take off of the helicopter in normal meteo conditions is 10 to 15 minutes.
