CAF helicopters transported six patients on May 1
During the holiday, on May 1, CAF helicopters transported six patients.
MI-8 MTV helicopter from the 93rd Air Force Base started with the first rescue mission on 10.00 hours by transporting one patient from Lastovo Island, then they transported three patients from Korčula, ending with transportation of one patient from Vis Island to Split Clinical Hospital.
The duty crew from the 91st Air Force Base during the night, 1 to 2 May, transported one patient – US citizen with Mi-171Sh helicopter from Rab Island to Rijeka Hospital. Call for medical flight came from County Center 112 Rijeka.
This year, till 30 April 2012, 246 medical flights were conducted, transporting 78 patients and 153 escort personnel.
