CAF still engaged on the field, possible accommodations for civilians in Knin
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović approved the possibility of using the facilities of the Armed Forces in Knin for the temporary accommodation of civilians from the surrounding villages, if, due to snow storms, they would not be able to return to their homes.
Specifically, it is a possibility of accommodating fifteen civilians from the surrounding villages, which, due to health problems regularly travel to the Knin Hospital (on dialysis, etc.)
And today, February 10, Armed Forces were engaged in activities to eliminate consequences of snowfall in Dalmatia. Thus, in Sinj, Imotski and Trilj areas CAF engaged three trucks to deliver food and other necessities, and on roads Imotski – Cista Provo, Cista Provo – Aržano and Kistanje – Đevrske five machines for snow removal was engaged. A team of eight members of the Special Operations Battalion (BSD) with two motor sledges and other personal equipment to operate in winter conditions have been engaged on a tour of the population and for delivering of the supplies in Drniš area, while another team of eight BSD members were on high alert in Lora Naval Base in Split. One helicopter of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence for possible use in urgent medical evacuation was prepared in the Divulje Base.
