Chief of the General Staff visits the Guards Armoured Mechanised Brigade

The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General  Mirko Šundov on 9 March 2016 visited the Guards Armoured Mechanised Brigade in Vinkovci, accompanied by the Commander of the Croatian Army, Lieutenant General Mate Ostović and the Head of the Logistics Directorate of the General Staff, Brigadier General Ivica Olujić.

Welcoming the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the Brigade, Colonel Denis Tretinjak briefed him on the Brigade’s planned and currently conducted activities.
Lieutenant General  Šundov  said the further development of the defence system depended on the commitment and hard work by the members of the Croatian Armed Forces and due responsibility in the conduct of all missions by the commanders throughout the chain of command.
The Chief of the General staff paid respects to the fallen members of the 5th Guards Brigade at the Memorial Monument in the Barracks in Vinkovci (“Slavonski sokolovi” ).
He also visited the barracks in Našice to see its accomodation capacities and  working conditions provided for the members of the Armed Forces.
