CISCO Academy Training Completed
The third generation of trainees in network technologies successfully completed their training at the local CISCO Academy at the Croatian Defence Academy on 17 May 2013.
The certificate award ceremony was attended by the Head of the IT Department of the CIS Directorate of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Col. Vinko Zebić and the Dean of the Croatian Defence Academy, Col. Željko Akrap.
The training ran from 11 February to 17 May 2013. The instructor was Sgt Zdravko Marinić, assisted by Sgt. Zlatko Lovrenčec of the Signal Regiment of the Army, and was followed by 10 servicemen. The best trainee was 1st. Lt. Mario Lovrić of the Electronic Reconnaissance Centre of the General Staff.
The Cisco Academy of the Croatian Defence Academy trains network administrators to operate the state-of-the-art network technologies. The technologies constitute the backbone of defence information systems and are developed along two directions – the stationary or business information system, which supports daily functioning of the Ministry of Defence and the Battlefield Information Systems that underpin a whole spectrum of tasks and operations of the Armed Forces.
