Coast Guard supplies Zadar islands with water for six days
Water carrier PT-71 of the Coast Guard, from Wednesday, 1 August 2012, was engaged in the mission of delivering potable water to households on the most endangered islands in the area of Zadar archipelago.
Crew of PT-71 carrier of the Coast Guard began with the delivery of potable water on the island of Veli Iž, one of the 18 inhabited islands of the archipelago.
On Thursday, August 2, it delivered 320 tons of drinking water in Veli Iž, on Saturday, August 4, 323 tons of drinking water to the island of Mali Iž, and today, August 6, they continued with the supply and delivered additional 320 tons of potable water to the island of Veli Iž.
Water carrier PT-71 of the Coast Guard will be engaged on the task of delivery of drinking water as long as it will be necessary.
