Combat Action Badge for 24 HRVCON member
Command Sergeant Major Predrag Toplak, a member of the Croatian Armed Forces and of the 24 HRVCON, has received the U.S. Combat Action Badge (CAB) at the ceremony in the ISAF Command on 21 November 2014. Command Sergeant Major Predrag Toplak, along with the members of the Danish Contingent , came under a terrorist attack in Kabul leaving 16 ISAF and a few ANSF members wounded and one ISAF member succumbing to wounds.
Although exercising advisor and training duties off the combat zone, the swift and efficient action by the Croatian and Danish soldiers earned them the recognition from the U.S. Department of Defense normally confered to U.S. Army members engaging the enemy in battle.
The Combat Action Badges were presented to the recipients by the Commander of the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, Major General Todd T. Semonite.
Command Sergeant Major Predrag Toplak has been assigned to the post of Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Army Institutional Advisory Team – AIAT.
