Combat Lifesaver Course completed in Požega

At the Logistic Doctrine and Training Centre of the Croatian Armed Forces Support Command, located in Požega, Croatia, 22 members of the Croatian Armed Forces from 22 April to 3 May 2013 attended and mastered the combat lifesaver training and were presented with the respective certificates.

Combat lifesaver is a term for non-medical soldiers trained to perform triage of casualties in field conditions, open the_casualty’s airway, check vital functions, control bleeding, administer intravenous therapy, open the veins, request MEDEVAC and prepare the casualty for transportation.  
The Combat Lifesaver training programme included lectures and practical exercise (using the manikins) to prepare the candidates for autonomous implementation in real-life situations. „The Combat Lifesaver training programme implemented in the Logistic Training and Doctrine Centre is of high quality, and is demanding and comprehensive“, said the Course Administrator, Maj. Berislav Dalić (MD).
